Campanelli is the General Contractor for a 62,000 square foot expansion and facility renovation project for Airxchange of Rockland, Massachusetts. Airxchange, which focuses on the design and manufacturing of ultra-high energy efficient components for the HVAC industry, will be expanding their manufacturing and office areas at their current facility. This project is designed to support ongoing operations and to accommodate growth. As well as providing design build services, Campanelli has assisted in securing the permitting for the project.
The renovation includes a new main entryway, upgrades to office areas supporting engineering, sales & marketing, general & administrative departments, a new 2,000 square foot Cafe and a new 60,000 square foot addition primarily servicing manufacturing. The new space will provide for more loading docks, energy efficient HVAC and lighting and will allow an improved vehicular traffic flow at the site. The addition features a high energy efficient design which includes; daylight harvesting with integrated light dimming; +R30 exterior envelope and utilizes AirXchange’s energy recovery technology. The energy recovery technology resulted in a net reduction of +50 tons of cooling capacity providing savings in up front installed costs and ongoing operating expenses.
